#lighttherapymask
Have you ever wondered how to repair your skin simply and easily for pennies? I find that the glow therapy mask is really functional! Red light therapy has been proven scientifically to repair your skin on many levels. It fights against acne, scarring, and wrinkles. And if you weren't sure, yes, it does fight against sagging as well!
Fortunately for me, I work at home and I can use my light therapy mask while I type away at my desk. I currently have this one from the following link.
However I just put in an order for this other one:
I love, love, love, my red light therapy mask. These masks do come with different light color options from red, to green to blue and even a few more. I believe up to 7 different colors for some masks. Each of which, has it's own medicinal use. I, myself, only use the red setting because it seems to be the universal color for healing skin and texture. A few years ago I had an acid peel mishap and burned my facial skin very bad. The red light therapy seemed to take that redness down and heal that skin barrier for me.
Something to keep in mind if you also choose to only use the red light setting if you are acne prone like me; when I first started using it I would have a minor break out. Just one or two smaller pimples; however, if did it again the next day, that breakout would almost completely dry up. Light therapy reduces inflammation in your skin and repairs damage. So it can actually heal your skin on a multitude of levels and through continued use, you will see more and more benefits of using the mask. Some of the benefits that I have seen is that I no longer have signs of melasma (the pregnancy mask), reduced blemishes, more even skin tone and fewer wrinkles!
The only issue I have with my heavy duty mask is that it's very heavy while I'm typing. Which is why I'm buying the other mask that looks more like a shield across your face. It appears to be a lot lighter and a bit more user-friendly. However, I will still use my heavy duty light therapy mask for when I just want to lay down and relax. Or, if lay in the tanning bed for a little while, I can sure plug that in and just bask in all kinds of light therapy.
The fortunate thing about these masks is that they have settings. Timer and a frequency setting. So you can put it on for as little or as long as you would like. And the intensity that you get, you can also control!
I promise to write a detailed review on my experience with the new shield style light therapy mask. My biggest hope is that they can one day create a portable light therapy mask so that I can also do the dishes or get some housekeeping done while I'm getting my light facial in! That would be phenomenal.
All in all I really do recommend that you get one of these masks. Because frankly, they are a little more handy than the handheld devices. There was a time where I would wear my mask right before drifting off to sleep at night. It's very interesting how quickly you can get used to that relaxation time. Another quick tip that I have found is to do a honey and water toner while you are doing the light therapy. It really does help to see results more quickly.
